Mizzou Athletics Receives Transformative Gift from Paul and Lynn Ann Vogel

COLUMBIA, Mo. — Mizzou Athletics is proud to announce a transformative $3 million gift from longtime supporters and Mizzou Leadership Circle members, Paul (B.S.Acc. ’89, M.Acc. ’90, J.D. ’93) and Lynn Ann Vogel. This commitment supports the Competitive Excellence Fund, which is unrestricted support of Mizzou’s efforts to compete for championships, such as revenue sharing, recruiting and other impactful opportunities, and will also create a new exclusive donor lounge in Mizzou Arena.

“This extraordinary gift from Paul and Lynn Ann reflects their deep belief in the power of intercollegiate athletics to elevate our University,” said Mizzou Director of Athletics Laird Veatch. “The Vogels have been visionary partners for many years, and their generosity accelerates our momentum at a time of tremendous opportunity for Mizzou Athletics. We look forward to others following the Vogel’s example as we continue to grow and maximize our resources to win championships.”

“We believe deeply in Mizzou and the role athletics plays in bringing people together and driving institutional success,” said Paul and Lynn Ann Vogel. “We believe in Laird, Coach Drinkwitz and Coach Gates’ leadership, and it’s an honor to help build something that will benefit generations of student-athletes across all sports and inspire pride across our state.”

As members of the athletics’ Columns Level of the Mizzou Leadership Circle, the Vogels are among Mizzou’s most dedicated philanthropic leaders. In addition to this new commitment, the Vogels were early supporters for the Memorial Stadium Centennial Project, an anchor initiative that will shape the future of Mizzou Football.

The Vogels’ volunteer campaign leadership is solidified by their generous support for Mizzou. This gift, coupled with campaign contributions to Athletics, the Trulaske College of Business and Children’s Hospital, establishes them among the lead donors of the Power the Roar campaign.

Gifts like the Vogels’ exemplify the sustained momentum behind Mizzou Athletics’ fundraising efforts. Over the past two fiscal years, Mizzou Athletics has established strong momentum through the Mizzou Leadership Circle, securing, 13 seven-figure gifts and 84 six-figure gifts since July 1, 2024.
