Monday January 5th marked the 25th Anniversary of the Jock as an All Sports format in Springfield and it also marked the debut of a new show on ESPN the Jock, The Opening Drive with Tom Ladd and Rob Rodgers. Guests on the premiere show included: Logan Rogersville head basketball coach John Schaefer, St. Louis U PxP voice Bob Ramsey and Zimmer Communication’s Tony Matteo. Ladd had been with the station in ’01 when the format changed to All Sports and had co hosted the previous show in the morning for 4 years. Rodgers worked for Missouri State University in the late 90’s and has owned his own finance business in the area for a couple of decades, while also starting a baseball academy called the Mavericks. Opening Drive with Tom and Rob will air Monday – Friday from 7 to 9 am on ESPN the Jock.
