OMAHA, Ne. – The Drury Panthers finished the first day of the Big O Classic, hosted by Creighton and Omaha. The tournament is being played at the Oak Hills Country Club in Omaha, Nebraska. The course is a par-72 with 6,019 yards. Drury was the lone Division II team in the field, made up of five Division I programs and one junior college.
Drury sits in fourth place following 36 holes of play, shooting 59-over. Omaha leads the pack with a +25. Creighton is followed with a +46. Linwood falls one stroke behind Creighton.
Out of the 50 golfers in the event, Isabelle Thrall leads Drury in ninth place shooting nine-over. Jade Carter is tied for 16th at +15, with Taryn Overstreet in 23rd with a +17. Grace Stafford shot 82 in both rounds to sit tied for 25th through one day. Rounding out the lineup for the Panthers is Elizabeth Adkisson in 47th with a +35.
The Panthers will play the final round of The Big O Classic tomorrow morning.
